HMS Ossory
Three Royal Navy ships have been named HMS Ossory, after the Kingdom of Ossory in Ireland, or possibly after Thomas Butler, Earl of Ossory.
There was also a ship named Ossory commanded by Lieutenant John Tyrrell on a voyage from Bengal to London in 1792–1794. Tyrrell’s log book is in the India Office Library. No other data about this vessel is known.
