Scolopendra angulata
Scolopendra angulata is a species of centipede. It is mainly found in Barbados, with populations also in Venezuela and other nearby South American and Caribbean countries such as Ecuador and Colombia. Its binomial name is Scolopendra angulata Newport, 1844, and it belongs to the family Scolopendridae.
There are three subspecies: Scolopendra angulata angulata, Scolopendra angulata explorans, and Scolopendra angulata moojeni. Some sources exclude moojeni. The explorans subspecies was first described as Scolopendra explorans by Chamberlin and was later reclassified as a subspecies of angulata by Bücherl in 1942.
