HD 20781 e
HD 20781 e is a hot Neptune orbiting the star HD 20781. It was detected using the radial velocity method, with the discovery announced in 2011 and published in 2019. The planet has at least 14 Earth masses and orbits about 0.34 astronomical units from its star, with a small eccentricity of around 0.06. It completes an orbit roughly every 85.5 days. Depending on its composition, its radius would be about 2.1 Earth radii if Earth-like, or about 3.8 Earth radii if Neptune-like. This places it near the inner edge of the star’s habitable zone. The planet was first reported as HD 20781 c in 2011, but a 2017 paper renamed it HD 20781 e.
