Good As You is a self-funded support and social group for LGBTQ people and others who are questioning their gender or sexuality in Bangalore, India. It started in 1994 when a few LGBTQ rights activists met at a local restaurant and decided to create a discussion forum for sexual minorities in Bangalore. Within a week, they chose the name Good As You and began weekly meetings. Samraksha, an AIDS counselling center, provided space for the meetings. Today, weekly meetings are held at the Swabhava office, and since the COVID-19 pandemic, they run both online and in person. Good As You offers mental health support, legal help, and moral support. The group has helped create other groups, such as Queer Campus and Queer Reads Bangalore. It provides counselling for LGBTQ people and other sexual minorities as well as people living with HIV.
