Music and Friends is the fifth studio album by Canadian duo Simani, released in 1987. It was recorded that year at Sim's Studio in Belleoram, Newfoundland. The album blends folk, Celtic and traditional music and runs 31 minutes and 16 seconds. It was released on the SwC label (SD-5067) and was independently produced. In Simani’s discography, it sits after Two for the Show (1986) and before Chapel Walls (1990).

The title track, "Music and Friends," is a Newfoundland classic. Another very popular song from the album is "Some Shocking Good." The album marked Simani’s tenth anniversary and is considered a tribute to the support they’ve received over the years.

In 1999, Lloyd Candow, who wrote "Some Shocking Good," sued the band for copyright misuse. After the album’s initial release, Candow placed a copyright on the track and restricted its use on later releases. When a compact disc version was issued, the song remained on the album, leading to the lawsuit. The group was hesitant to record material not their own but did so, and the song became a major success. Later CD releases removed "Some Shocking Good" and added two bonus tracks instead.
