Giovanni Chiodi, born on 25 April 1961 in Teramo, Italy, is an Italian politician and chartered accountant. He studied economics at LUISS Guido Carli University. He entered politics with the Pole for Freedoms and ran for mayor of Teramo in 1999 but lost to Angelo Sperandio. He was elected Mayor of Teramo in 2004 and served until 2008. In late 2008 he stepped down to run for President of the Abruzzo region, winning the office in 2009 and serving until 2014. He tried for a second term in 2014 but was defeated by Luciano D'Alfonso of the Democratic Party.

Chiodi has been affiliated with several parties over the years: Forza Italia until 2009; PdL from 2009 to 2013; Forza Italia again from 2013 to 2015; I DeA from 2015 to 2021; and CI since 2021.
