2025–26 Maine Black Bears men's basketball team
The 2025–26 Maine Black Bears men's basketball team represents the University of Maine in the America East Conference during the 2025–26 NCAA Division I season. Led by head coach Chris Markwood in his fourth year, they play home games at Memorial Gymnasium in Orono, Maine. The team owns a 5–18 overall record and a 3–5 mark in America East play so far.
Last season (2024–25), Maine went 20–14 overall and 10–6 in the conference, finishing third. They beat UMass Lowell and Vermont, then lost to Bryant in the America East tournament final.
In the preseason poll released on October 20, 2025, Maine was picked to finish second in the conference, with one first‑place vote. No Maine players were named to the All-America East team.
