George M. Borg (December 4, 1934 – September 7, 1971) was a Wisconsin Republican who served in the State Assembly and the State Senate. Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, he was heir to the Borg-Warner fortune; his grandfather Charles W. Borg co-founded the company. The family moved to Wisconsin in 1935. Borg attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison and served in the U.S. Army. He became an alderman in Delavan and then served three terms in the State Assembly. In 1966, after redistricting, he won the Republican nomination and then the State Senate seat by defeating incumbent Peter P. Carr in a three‑way race, in a district that leaned Republican. He resigned from the Senate on August 9, 1967. It was reported he planned to run for Congress, but the seat went to Henry C. Schadeberg. Borg died in 1971 from injuries after a motorcycle crash in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He had three children: Erik, Tamara, and Karl.
