Gentleman with a Briefcase (Swedish: Herre med portfölj) is a 1943 Swedish drama directed by Ragnar Arvedson. The screenplay was written by Fritz Thorén and Ragnar Arvedson, and it stars Georg Rydeberg, Irma Christenson and Anne-Margrethe Björlin. The story follows Rolf Berger, a respected judge who has been married to Eva for many years. He meets the much younger Inger and falls in love with her, creating a conflict between duty and desire. The film was shot at Centrumateljéerna Studios in Stockholm, with art direction by Bertil Duroj. It runs 86 minutes, with music by Lars-Erik Larsson and cinematography by Elner Åkesson. Produced by AB Films and distributed by Svensk Talfilm, it premiered on 30 November 1943. It is in Swedish.
