St Vincent's won their 11th title, with O'Tooles finishing as runners-up. This was the 95th Dublin Senior Hurling Championship since it began in 1887. St Vincent's were the defending champions going into the competition. The final, a rematch of the previous year, was played on 12 September 1982 at Parnell Park in Donnycarney. St Vincent's defeated O'Tooles 3-10 to 3-4 to claim the title.
