Gabriel Bahia
Gabriel Henrique Feitosa da Silva, known as Gabriel Bahia, was born on 24 November 1998 in Juazeiro, Brazil. He is a tall centre-back (1.90 m) who plays for Botafogo on loan from Volta Redonda. His nickname comes from his birthplace in Bahia.
Gabriel Bahia started in the youth teams of Vitória and Juazeirense. He was loaned to XV de Piracicaba but only played for the under-20s, and he made his senior debut with Andradina on loan. He returned to Andradina in 2019 and then moved to Bandeirante on loan in 2020. In 2021 he joined Bandeirante permanently after the club’s promotion to the Paulista Série A3, and he was loaned to Matonense later that year. He helped Matonense win promotion as well and renewed his contract with Bandeirante in December 2022, becoming a regular starter.
In April 2023, Gabriel Bahia joined Volta Redonda on loan in the Série C. Despite injuries, he became a starter in 2024 and helped Volta Redonda gain promotion to Série B. He signed a permanent two-year deal with Volta Redonda in December 2024. On 26 August 2025, Botafogo announced his loan to the club until March 2026. He made his top-flight debut on 28 September 2025, starting in a 2-0 defeat to Fluminense.
