Atubaria heterolopha is a tiny marine hemichordate and the only species in its genus Atubaria and in its family Atubaridae. It belongs to the pterobranchs, within the order Cephalodiscida. Tadao Sato described it in 1936 from specimens found in Sagami Bay, Japan, while it was feeding on a hydrozoan colony called Dycoryne conferta. Each zooid is 1–5 mm long and has a collar with four pairs of tentacled arms, a single pair of pharyngeal slits, and it lives a solitary, sedentary life. It closely resembles Cephalodiscus members.
