Gödre
Gödre is a village in Baranya County, Hungary, in the Hegyhát District of the Southern Transdanubia region. It covers 39.93 square kilometers and had 735 residents in 2021, with a population density of about 18 people per square kilometer. The village lies about 10.8 kilometers northwest of Sásd and 31.2 kilometers northwest of Pécs. It is also known by other names: Gödring or Kedri in German, and Đudra in Croatian.
Gödre is administered by a mayor and a four-person council. It shares a joint council office with nearby villages, based in Sásd. The current mayor is Gábor Gelencsér (Fidesz–KDNP). Since 2019, there are local minority self-governments for the German and Roma communities.
Demographics from the 2011 census show 913 residents, 348 households, and 264 families, with 398 dwellings. The ethnic makeup was mainly Hungarian (82.9%), with German (11.5%) and Roma (8.4%) minorities, and about 16.7% who did not answer. Religiously, 67% were Roman Catholic, 2.4% Calvinist, 0.4% Lutheran, 0.2% other, 9.3% unaffiliated, and 20.7% did not answer.
In 2011 the population density was about 23 people per square kilometer. Minorities have self-government bodies: German and Roma communities each have representatives.
