Fuckland is a 2000 Argentine black comedy-drama directed by José Luis Márques. The story follows an Argentine man, a magician and stand-up comedian from Buenos Aires, who saves money from performing weddings, birthdays, and bar mitzvahs and travels to the Falkland Islands. He plans to impregnate a local woman to prove that Argentines could repopulate the islands, calling it a “sexual invasion.”

The film was shot on digital video in 1999 on the Falkland Islands, and it is known for trying to follow the minimalist ideas of the Dogme 95 movement. It was filmed secretly in Port Stanley with seven professional actors while local residents improvised scenes, and one key actress, Camilla Heaney, was not told about the director’s true goal. The production used a Sony DCR-TRV900 camera and carried the tagline “a clandestine movie.” It had a budget of about $400,000 and runs 87 minutes in Spanish and English.

In the story, the protagonist uses a hidden camera to document his week-long visit, aiming to impregnate Camilla Heaney after meeting her at church. He succeeds in having sex with her twice and leaves convinced he has achieved his plan. However, Camilla records him denouncing him as shallow and self-centered, casting a critical ending over his triumph.

Fuckland opened in Argentina on September 21, 2000, and was shown at film festivals including London, Melbourne, and Sundance. Critics were mixed: some called it subversive or libelous, while others found it tedious. Notable reviewers questioned its adherence to Dogme rules and its overall premise.
