Pyrausta cingulata, the silver-barred sable, is a small moth in the Crambidae family found in Europe. It was first described by Carl Linnaeus in 1758.

Description
- Wingspan: 14–18 mm
- Forewings: dark with a narrow, slightly curved white band beyond the middle; the wing tips are white
- Hindwings: like the forewings, with a slightly curved band

Life cycle
- The moths fly from May to August, depending on the location
- The larvae probably feed on wild thyme (Thymus polytrichus)
