The Mountain of the Lord is a 72-minute film produced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It tells the story of building the Salt Lake Temple through a fictional dialogue between a reporter and Wilford Woodruff, made for the temple’s centennial celebration. The film shows the 40-year effort by early Latter-day Saints to complete the temple in the Salt Lake Valley after members arrived in 1847. It was released in 1993 and shown during the April General Conference. Some scenes were filmed in Provo, Utah. The production had a budget of about $3 million, and the film is in English.
