Federal Correctional Institution, Allenwood Low (FCI Allenwood Low) is a United States federal prison for men with a low-security designation. It is part of the Allenwood Federal Correctional Complex in Gregg Township, Union County, Pennsylvania, about 75 miles north of Harrisburg and just west of Route 15. The facility opened in 1992, houses around 1,450 inmates, and is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a part of the U.S. Department of Justice. In February 2013, Fred Hagenbuch, then a correction officer at USP Lewisburg (a nearby high-security prison), pleaded guilty to theft of government property for stealing items from FCI Allenwood, including electrical conduit, fence posts, and mesh fencing valued at about $1,545.
