Jim Barron (born 19 October 1943) is an English former football goalkeeper and coach. He was born in Tantobie, England, and is 6 ft 1 in tall. Barron played in the Football League for more than 400 games across several clubs: Wolverhampton Wanderers (8 appearances), Chelsea (1), Oxford United (152), Nottingham Forest (155), Swindon Town (79), the Connecticut Bicentennials (10), and Peterborough United (21). He began his career with Newcastle West End.

After retiring as a player, Barron worked in coaching and management. He was caretaker manager at Wolverhampton Wanderers in May 1984 and later became permanent manager of Cheltenham Town in 1988–89. He also served as caretaker manager at Birmingham City from October to December 2001. Barron worked as a first-team coach at Northampton Town from 2002 to 2011, and briefly as joint caretaker manager there on 20 December 2006 before returning to the coaching staff.

Barron was a scout for Everton from 2009 to 2020, leaving during the COVID-19 pandemic. In July 2023, he was appointed assistant manager of Bath City.
