Ernest Milton Ettinger (July 30, 1888 – May 29, 1962) was a Canadian politician in Nova Scotia. A Progressive Conservative, he represented the riding of Hants East in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1949 to 1953 and again from 1956 until his death in 1962.

Born in Portland, Maine, Ettinger moved to Nova Scotia and worked as a funeral director. In 1928 he opened Ettinger Funeral Home in Shubenacadie. He was married to Margaret MacKenzie.

In the 1949 election, Ettinger won Hants East by 28 votes over Liberal incumbent Robert A. MacLellan. In 1953 he led on election night but lost by one vote to Liberal Alfred E. Reid after a recount. The election was voided in February 1954 due to irregularities, and a byelection was held on November 16, 1954, which ended in a tie; the returning officer cast the deciding vote for Reid, giving him the seat by one vote.

Ettinger won back the seat in the 1956 election, defeating Reid by 50 votes, and was re-elected in 1960 by 219 votes. He died in office on May 29, 1962, and was succeeded by his son Albert J. Ettinger.
