Everybody's Business (2013 film)
Everybody's Business (人人有份) is a 2013 Singaporean comedy about toilet hygiene. Directed by Lee Thean-jeen, it stars Gurmit Singh and Mark Lee, who appear on screen together for the third time.
Plot
John Lu is a hygiene officer for the newly created Minister of Toilets. With his boss Winston Li, he investigates a toilet hygiene problem that has caused 50 Singaporeans to fall ill with food poisoning.
Release and details
The film runs 91 minutes and was released in cinemas on December 5, 2013. The budget was about $1.2 million, and it grossed about $730,000.
Reception
Charlene Chua of The New Paper gave it 3 out of 5 stars. Yip Wai Yee of The Straits Times rated it 1.5 out of 5, noting that the film has some sharp observations about government campaigns and a catchy song, but such moments are few.
