Esther, Alberta
Esther is a small hamlet in southern Alberta, Canada. It is part of Special Area No. 3 and is governed by the Special Areas Board. The community sits about 16 kilometres east of Highway 41 and about 185 kilometres north of Medicine Hat. Esther was first settled in 1910 and was named after Anna Esther Landreth, a girl who lived nearby. The area uses Mountain Time (UTC-7, daylight saving time UTC-6). Esther is an unincorporated community.
