Barrington, Tasmania
Barrington is a small rural locality in the Kentish region of Tasmania’s North West. It sits about 21 kilometres southwest of Devonport. In 2016, 197 people lived there. The postcode is 7306. The Forth River forms the southwest and western boundaries, while the Don River forms most of the eastern boundary. The B14 Sheffield Road runs through from the north to the southeast, and the C143 Barrington Road starts at an intersection with B14 and heads south. The name Barrington comes from an old parish, and the locality was officially declared in 1965.
