Ivie Okujaye
Ivie Okujaye Egboh (born 16 May 1987) is a Nigerian actress, film producer, scriptwriter, dancer, singer, and activist. She was born in Benin City, Nigeria, the youngest of five children. Her father is from Delta State and her mother is from Edo State. She studied economics at the University of Abuja after attending Queen’s College, Lagos. Her parents wanted her to study medicine, but she chose a career in the arts.
Okujaye began performing on stage and rose to fame after winning the Amstel Malta Box Office reality show in 2009. Her first feature film was Alero’s Symphony (2011), and she won Best Young Actor at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2012 for that role. She is sometimes nicknamed “Little Genevieve” for her resemblance to Genevieve Nnaji.
Beyond acting, she has produced films, including Make a Move (2014). Notable film roles include Slow Country (2017) and Oloibiri (2016). She has also appeared on television, with roles in Enakhe (2020) and Hotel Majestic (2015). Okujaye continues to work as a dancer, singer, and activist.
Personal life: She married Ezie Egboh in 2015, and they have three children.
