Ernest Jaime
Ernest Jaime (born Jean-François Gem, 28 April 1804 in Paris – died 7 June 1884 in Versailles) was a French watercolourist, lithographer, art historian and playwright. Active 1832–1871, he also wrote songs. He contributed to Le Figaro and La Caricature. His plays were staged at major Paris theatres such as Variétés, Gaîté and Palais-Royal. He was the father of dramatist Adolphe Jaime (1824–1901).
