En Bloc
En Bloc is a Singaporean drama produced by Mediacorp and aired on MediaCorp TV Channel 5. It premiered on March 5, 2008, and ran for one season with 8 episodes, about 44 minutes each.
The story follows the Lim family and other residents of the old Tampines Grove condominium as their estate goes up for an en bloc sale and redevelopment. Each episode looks at family relationships, secrets, and how wealth changes people. The show features reluctant parents, a son with a troubled past, an opportunistic younger brother, a hot-headed young lawyer, an aimless youngest child, and an uneasy daughter-in-law.
Tampines Grove is the main setting and is based on a real HDB estate in Tampines. Filming took place mainly at Pandan Valley and Pandan Valley’s Laurels supermarket.
Cast and creators include Patrick Teoh, June Lim, Darren Lim, Nick Shen, Andrea Fonseka, Nathaniel Ho, and Rebecca Lim. The show was created by Emida Natalaray and Audrey Wee.
