Emma McLeod
Emma Mary Amanda McLeod (born 28 March 2006 in Masterton, New Zealand) is a young New Zealand cricketer who plays as a right-handed batter and right-arm off-break bowler. She represents Central Districts in domestic cricket and the New Zealand women’s national team.
McLeod rose through New Zealand’s ranks, first featuring for the Under-19s and captaining the side for the 2024/25 season. She joined Central Hinds in 2023 and has played for Central Districts in List A and T20 formats, including a 59 off 39 balls in a List A match against Rwanda.
Her international journey began with the Under-19 World Cup, and she was later named in New Zealand’s senior squad. She made her ODI debut on 4 March 2025 against Sri Lanka and her T20I debut on 14 March 2025, scoring 44 off 46 on T20I debut.
In 2025 she was named in New Zealand A’s squad to face England A, and she won the Women’s Young Player of the Year award in April 2024.
