Egil Peak
Egil Peak is a 2,640-metre tall mountain in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It sits on the east side of Isingen Mountain in the Sverdrup Mountains, at 72°24′S, 1°18′E. It was photographed from the air by the Third German Antarctic Expedition (1938–39) and later mapped by Norwegian teams from NBSAE surveys (1949–52) and Norwegian expeditions (1958–59). The peak is named after Egil Rogstad, the NBSAE’s chief radio operator.
