Edwin Enrique Aguilar Samaniego (born 7 August 1985 in Panama City) is a Panamanian footballer who plays as a striker for Tauro. He started his career with Tauro and had a loan to Tiburones in 2007. In 2008 he was briefly loaned to Ukraine’s Karpaty Lviv, but he missed the flight and returned to Panama. He later played abroad in Colombia (América de Cali and Real Cartagena) and Venezuela (including Deportivo Anzoátegui, where he was the league’s top scorer in 2014/15 with 23 goals). He has had multiple spells with Tauro, most recently from 2020 onward. Internationally, Aguilar debuted for Panama in October 2005 against Trinidad and Tobago and, as of March 2015, had 33 caps and 10 goals. He was part of Panama’s squad at the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship, was in the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup squad (did not play), and helped Panama win the 2009 UNCAF Nations Cup.
