Wazirabad Tehsil is an administrative subdivision (tehsil) of Wazirabad District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The tehsil’s headquarters are in the city of Wazirabad. It covers about 1,206 square kilometers and is divided into 36 Union Councils.

According to the 2017 census, Wazirabad Tehsil has a population of 830,396, with 299,751 living in urban areas and 530,645 in rural areas. The population density is about 689 people per square kilometer.

The region uses Pakistan Standard Time (UTC+5); Pakistan does not observe daylight saving time.

Historically, during British rule, Wazirabad Tehsil was part of Gujranwala District in Punjab. The 1901 census recorded a population of 183,205, with main towns including Wazirabad, Ramnagar, Sodhra, and Akalgarh, and about 254 villages. The land revenue in 1903-04 was around Rs. 270,000. The area is described as a riverine belt along the Chenab with well-irrigated lands and uplands, and the Chenab Canal headworks are at Khanki in this tehsil.
