East Cork Junior A Football Championship

The East Cork Junior A Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition for junior clubs in East Cork. It is organized by the Imokilly Board and has been played since 1927. The championship is sponsored and often called the Michael O'Connor Motor Factors East Cork Junior A Football Championship.

The games run from March to autumn, and the format includes a group stage followed by knockout rounds, guaranteeing each team at least three matches. The winner goes on to the Cork Junior A Football Championship, and the county winner earns promotion to the Cork Premier Junior Football Championship for the next season.

As of 2026, 12 clubs take part. The championship has been won by 17 different clubs, with Glanmire holding the most titles at 20. Carrignavar are the current champions, beating Erin's Own 3-12 to 1-08 in the 2025 final.

Competition structure
- 12 teams are split into three groups of four. In the group stage, each team plays the other three teams.
- Scoring: 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 for a loss. Teams are ranked by points, then scoring difference, then head-to-head record.
- The top two teams from each group advance to the knockout rounds.
- Quarter-finals feature the four lowest qualifying teams; the winners advance to the semi-finals.
- The semi-finals are contested by the quarter-final winners and the top two highest-placed group qualifiers. The two semi-final winners meet in the final.
- The champion earns a place in the Cork Junior A Football Championship; the county winner is promoted to the Cork Premier Junior Football Championship for the next season.
- The two lowest-ranked group teams play a relegation playoff, with the loser relegated to the East Cork Junior B Football Championship.
