John G. Fenn
John G. Fenn is an American lawyer who serves as a justice on the Wyoming Supreme Court. He was appointed by Governor Mark Gordon on December 2, 2021, to fill the vacancy left by Justice Michael K. Davis, and he took office on January 17, 2022.
Before joining the Supreme Court, Fenn was a judge in Wyoming’s Fourth Judicial District from 2007 to 2022 and helped develop Wyoming’s chancery court from 2019 to 2022. He also worked as a partner at Yonkee & Toner from 1993 to 2006.
Fenn grew up in Big Piney, Wyoming. He earned a BA from the University of Wyoming in 1984, an MS in engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology (Air University) in 1989, and a JD from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 1993. He was considered for a Supreme Court seat in 2018, a position that went to Kari Jo Gray. In 2021, he was one of three candidates recommended to the governor for the upcoming vacancy.
