Fabio Cristian Chiarodia (born 5 June 2005) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga. Born in Oldenburg, Germany, to Italian parents, he represents Italy at youth level.

Chiarodia started at VfL Oldenburg before joining Werder Bremen’s academy in 2014. He signed his first professional contract with Werder Bremen in October 2021 and made his pro debut on 10 December 2021 in a 3–2 win at Jahn Regensburg, becoming Werder’s youngest first-team player and the second-youngest ever in the 2. He featured in the DFB-Pokal for the first time on 19 October 2022, becoming Werder Bremen’s youngest player in the competition, and three days later made his Bundesliga debut as a late substitute against Freiburg, again the club’s youngest Bundesliga player. On 17 March 2023 he started his first Bundesliga match, setting a club record as Werder Bremen’s youngest starter.

Chiarodia joined Borussia Mönchengladbach on a four-year contract in June 2023 and made his Gladbach debut on 11 August 2023 in a 7–0 DFB-Pokal win.

A versatile defender, Chiarodia mainly plays centre-back but can also operate as a defensive midfielder or left-back. He is comfortable on the ball, with good passing, anticipation and composure, and stands 1.87 m tall.

His family runs an ice-cream shop in Oldenburg. He was nicknamed “Das Küken” (The Chick) by Werder Bremen’s captain when he broke through the first team.
