Eagle Portland
Eagle Portland is a gay bar in North Portland, Oregon, that mainly serves bears and leather enthusiasts. It’s located at 835 North Lombard Street in the Piedmont neighborhood and is known as the official home of the Oregon Bears. The bar also hosts lesbian nights on occasion.
Pat Lanagan used to own Eagle, but around 2019 it was sold to former manager Dan Henderson. Even with new management, the bar’s vibe stayed the same: pool, a covered smoking patio, and straightforward drinks. It mainly attracts gay men who like bear culture and leather aesthetics.
Reviews describe Eagle as a bit off the beaten path but worth the trip for its friendly staff, good DJs, and welcoming atmosphere for newcomers. The bar also has video poker machines. Eagle Portland was listed among Portland’s best gay bars by Eater Portland in 2018.
