Double Island, or Wong Wan Chau (Chinese: 往灣洲), is an island in the north-eastern part of Hong Kong, in the North District. It covers about 2.13 square kilometers, making it the second largest island in North District after Crooked Island. The highest point is 139 meters above sea level. Its western coast faces Double Haven. Wong Wan (往灣) is a bay on the island. Double Island is one of Hong Kong’s 26 designated marine fish culture zones. In 1979, it became part of the Plover Cove (Extension) Country Park.
