Dimo's Apizza
Dimo's Apizza is a pizzeria in Portland, Oregon, located on East Burnside Street in the Kerns neighborhood. It serves New Haven–style, coal-fired pizza with options like tomato with garlic, cacio e pepe with pecorino cream, tomato confit with zucchini, and clams with garlic, parsley, and chili flakes. Signature pies include The Father (sausage and pickled peppers), the Hail Mary (soppressata with Calabrian chili and Castelvetrano olives), This Bacon Is Radicchio! (bacon, radicchio, caramelized red onions, tomato confit, fontina, thyme), and The G.O.A.T. (tomatoes, corn, caramelized onions, scamorza, goat cheese, parsley, mint, and basil). They also offer sandwiches such as chicken parmesan and roast beef on sesame baguettes, plus breakfast sandwiches with egg, cheese, and bacon or Taylor ham.
Chef-owner Doug Miriello opened Dimo's in July 2020 in a space that previously housed Burnside Brewing and Mikkeller. The restaurant, named after Miriello’s grandmother, has been described as a pizza pop-up with outdoor seating. Dimo's has hosted events, including a 420 collaboration with Oma’s Hideaway and Shipwreck, with proceeds benefiting Last Prisoner Project. In April 2022, they served a four-course dinner. The eatery has drawn attention from local outlets as a notable new Portland restaurant and a part of the city’s growing pizza scene.
