3:10 Relay
3:10 Relay
3:10 Relay (Korean: 310 중계석) was a South Korean news program on JTBC in 2020. Hosted by Yang Won-bo, it used a sports-show style to present domestic and international news with humor, editing, and captions.
It aired on weekdays at 3:10 p.m. KST from July 20 to December 4, 2020, and ran for 90 episodes. The show mixed news with satire and included occasional guest commentators, especially on Wednesdays or for special days.
While the concept was to entertain as well as inform, the program drew backlash over its tone. On July 24, 2020, its coverage of the Busan flood was criticized as too light-hearted and the clip was made private. On August 5, 2020, the Korea Communications Commission issued a warning over a Beirut explosion segment. On October 21, 2020, Yang Won-bo made a sarcastic remark about a Dutch bicycle-theft article and joked about protests at the Dutch embassy, which sparked further controversy. The host later addressed audience feedback as the show continued.
3:10 Relay was produced in Korea, in Korean, with a multi-camera setup and 35-minute episodes, and it concluded with its final episode on December 4, 2020.
