Ahead of Time (I takt við tímann) is a 2004 Icelandic musical comedy directed by Ágúst Guðmundsson. The story follows the comeback of the band Stuðmenn, who became famous in Guðmundsson’s 1982 film On Top. The movie runs 95 minutes, is in Icelandic, and was produced by Bjarmaland. It premiered on 26 December 2004. The soundtrack features music by Stuðmenn, and the film includes numerous musical numbers throughout. Critics were mixed; Variety described it as a whimsical, music-filled comedy that can feel overlong as a feature, effectively portraying aging rockers trying to regain their groove.
