Deirdre Codd
Deirdre Codd (Irish: Deirdre Níc Óda), born 31 July 1986 in Wexford, Ireland, is a camogie player who usually plays midfield for Duffry Rovers and the Wexford senior team. She made her senior debut in 2004 against Antrim and has since won four All-Ireland senior medals (2007, 2010, 2011, 2012) and three National League titles (2009–2011). Codd has been an All-Star nominee in 2005, 2007 and 2009, and earned a Purcell Cup All Star in 2008. At club level, she captained Duffry Rovers to Intermediate titles in 2001 and 2003 and played in the Senior B grade in 2009; she also gathered Leinster titles from under-age to senior levels (Under-14: 1999, 2000; Under-16: 2000, 2002; Leinster Senior: 2004, 2007; Leinster Junior: 2004). In college, Coláiste Bríde teams won All-Ireland senior medals in 2003 and 2004. She represented Ireland in the Compromise Rules series against Scotland in 2004. Her mother, Ruth Hatton, played for the Wexford Junior camogie team, and her father, John, was a camogie referee. She is also known by the nicknames Frank and Deedo.
