Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program
This US award, presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, honors the best host of a reality or reality-competition show. It was first awarded in 2008. On July 27, 2008, it was announced that the category’s five nominees would co-host the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards telecast. Beginning in 2023, game show hosts compete in a separate category called Outstanding Host for a Game Show. The current holder (as of 2025) is Alan Cumming for The Traitors.
