Debbie Graham
Debbie Graham Shaffer, born August 25, 1970, in Walnut Creek, California, is a retired American tennis player. She played right-handed and excelled at Stanford University, winning the Honda Sports Award as the nation's top collegiate tennis player in 1990 and later being inducted into the Stanford Hall of Fame in 1997 for NCAA singles as a sophomore and her strong contributions to a top team.
On the pro tour, she reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 35 in 1992 and No. 24 in doubles in 1994, earned $862,123 in prize money, and won five WTA doubles titles. Her standout doubles result includes a Wimbledon semifinal appearance in 1998. She was named the WTA’s Most Impressive Newcomer in 1992.
After retiring, she served as a High Performance Coach for women with the USTA at the USTA Training Center in Carson, California. She is the director of Little Aces Tennis, teaching children with low‑compression balls, smaller racquets, and smaller nets.
