David Manoukian
David J.L. Manoukian, born January 10, 1975, is a French-Belgian-Armenian businessman. He is the founder, chairman, and CEO of The-Sphere.com, a luxury social network, and the co-founder and CEO of Realty Capital Partners, which invests in luxury real estate in exclusive markets such as Courchevel, Megève, and Saint-Tropez.
He studied at Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland and in Boston, and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Institut supérieur de gestion in Paris in 1997. He then worked at PwC in audit and corporate finance for mergers and acquisitions for three years. In 2000 he joined his family’s business, Alain Manoukian, as International President and helped expand the brand across Europe, Russia, the Middle East, and Asia. He also led France’s first textile e-commerce site and oversaw the French brand’s acquisition by BCBG Max Azria, aiding its growth in the United States. In 2007 he shifted toward urban commercial and high-luxury residential real estate, and in 2008 created a multimedia division focused on the web, with The Sphere as its first project.
He is married to Chantal Manoukian, a Lebanese-Armenian lawyer who passed the Paris bar, and they have two sons, Raffi and Azad.
