Dan Clews
Dan Clews, born 21 March 1980, is a British singer-songwriter from Sevenoaks, Kent. He spent years performing on the UK live music scene before moving to Sweden to work with local artists. With his backing band The Stars Above, he released two records; one helped him secure a publishing deal with George Martin Music. His first solo album, Dan Clews, was released on 15 December 2009 and gained radio support from BBC Radio 2’s Bob Harris show. It received positive reviews in Mojo, Uncut, Record Collector, and The Guardian in December 2009. Clews recorded more than 20 sessions for BBC regional radio and appeared on Bob Harris's Radio 2 show on 10 July 2010. He co-founded We Teach Music, offering private lessons and music workshops in Kent. His genres are folk, folk-rock, and acoustic pop, and he plays guitar and sings. Active since 2005.
