Minami-Hikone Station (南彦根駅) is a passenger railway station in Hikone, Shiga Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by JR West and serves the Biwako Line portion of the Tōkaidō Main Line. The station is 9.3 km from Maibara Station and about 455.2 km from Tokyo. It has two side platforms at ground level, connected by an elevated station building, which houses a staffed Midori no Madoguchi ticket office. The station opened on 30 June 1981. Station numbering was introduced in March 2018, and Minami-Hikone was assigned JR-A14. In fiscal year 2019, the station was used by an average of 5,901 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).
