Craig Smith is a former Australian rugby league player from Brisbane, Queensland. He mainly played as a centre or winger. He spent several years with the Wests Panthers in the Queensland Cup (1996–2000), including starting at centre in the 1998 grand final loss to the Norths Devils. Smith made one NRL appearance with the North Queensland Cowboys in 1999, coming off the bench in a 18–28 defeat to North Sydney Bears in what was North Sydney’s final first-grade game. After leaving the Cowboys, he returned to the Wests Panthers in 2000 and later joined Lézignan Sangliers in France in 2001. In 2015, rugby league historian Mike Higgison named him on the wing in the Wests Panthers’ Team of the 1990s.
