Craig MacDonald (born April 7, 1977) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey left winger from Antigonish, Nova Scotia. He is 5 ft 11 in tall, weighs 201 lb, and shoots left. He played in the NHL for the Hurricanes, Panthers, Bruins, Flames, Blackhawks, Lightning, and Blue Jackets after being drafted 88th overall in 1996 by the Hartford Whalers; when the Whalers moved to Carolina, his rights moved with them. He studied economics at Harvard and played for the Harvard Crimson before turning pro. MacDonald made his NHL debut on January 7, 1999, against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He joined the Bruins via waivers on January 20, 2004, and signed with the Flames on August 11, 2005. With the Panthers he formed the John Deere line with Marcus Nilson and Byron Ritchie, a name earned for their hard work, and the line was briefly reunited in Calgary in 2005–06. He signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning on July 2, 2007. On December 20, 2007, he suffered severe facial injuries from a Hal Gill shot and wore a full face cage afterwards. He signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets on July 14, 2008. In 2009 he left North America to play in Germany for the DEG Metro Stars, then joined Adler Mannheim in 2010. Outside hockey, MacDonald is an accomplished golfer, having won two consecutive Nova Scotia Junior Golf Championships and having once considered turning pro in golf.
