Truncatella pulchella is a tiny land snail that lives along tropical coastlines of the western Atlantic, right at the sea’s edge. It belongs to the family Truncatellidae. The shell can grow up to about 6.5 mm in length, and the species is found at sea level (0 m depth). It was first described by Pfeiffer in 1839. The snail has several synonymous names from past descriptions, including Truncatella bilabiata, Acmea bilabiata, Truncatella bahamensis, Truncatella floridana, and possibly Truncatella capillacea (the last with uncertain status).
