The Copa Latina, or Latin Cup, was an international beach soccer tournament held in Brazil from 1998 to 2011, except for 2007 and 2008. Four teams were invited each year from Latin Europe or Latin America (Canada joined in 2003). The first edition was in Vitória, and the event later moved between Brazilian cities. The first tournament used a knockout format; all later editions used a round-robin format. Brazil dominated the event with nine titles. Chile, Portugal, and Uruguay each won once. The tournament ended in 2011, with Uruguay as the last champions. Brazil holds the most championships with nine titles.
