Edwin Spillman
Edwin Spillman is a college football linebacker for the Tennessee Volunteers. Born November 5, 2005, in Sierra Leone, Spillman was adopted by an American family and moved to the United States in 2013. He grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and played high school football at Lipscomb Academy under coach Trent Dilfer. As a junior, he totaled 101 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and six pass breakups, helping Lipscomb win back-to-back Division II state championships. He finished his high school career with 305 tackles and 49 tackles for loss, earning MaxPreps Junior All-American honors and all-state and all-region recognitions. A four-star recruit, Spillman was ranked among the top linebackers nationally and the best player in Tennessee. He committed to the Tennessee Volunteers, joining his brother Nate.
At Tennessee, Spillman redshirted as a true freshman in 2024, appearing in four games and recording six tackles. In 2025, after an injury to starting linebacker Arion Carter, Spillman became a starter and led the team in tackles through 10 games. He is listed at 6 feet 1 inch tall and 230 pounds, wearing number 13 for Tennessee.
