Sven Jonasson
Sven Jonasson (July 9, 1909 – September 17, 1984) was a Swedish football forward and manager. He was born in Borås and died in Varberg. Jonasson spent his club career with IF Elfsborg from 1927 to 1946, making 409 league appearances and scoring 252 goals. For the Sweden national team, he earned 42 caps between 1932 and 1940, scoring 20 goals, and he played in the 1934 and 1938 World Cups as well as the 1936 Olympics. He holds Allsvenskan records for most goals (252) and most consecutive games (344, 1927–1941). In 1936, a Danish source described him as a "false nine" against a team using a WM formation and compared him to England's center-forward Ted Drake. He later managed Elfsborg from 1952 to 1954.
