Conus nodulosus
Conus nodulosus is a venomous sea snail in the cone snail family. Like other Conus snails, it hunts and can sting people, so live snails should not be handled. The shell is about 3.5 to 5.1 cm long, with a tall, channeled spire. It is yellowish with a delicate chestnut net-like pattern, and the opening is pink. This snail is found only off Western Australia, from Geraldton to Kalbarri and the Abrolhos Islands. Some scientists have treated it as a subspecies of Conus victoriae, but it has a separate distribution, so it is considered a distinct species.
